Who we are

5riverslab.io is run by 5 Rivers Labs, a UK studio, which is the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions about this notice or your data: hello@5riverslab.io.

Our products have their own privacy notices: LiveRoad, AirconAlert and Album Draft. This notice covers this website only.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, optional company and budget range, the topic you pick and your message.
• Emails you send us at hello@5riverslab.io.
• Visit statistics: counts of pages viewed, referring sites, browser and country, from our own self-hosted Umami analytics. It sets no cookies, doesn't track you across sites and doesn't store your IP address.

This site sets no cookies.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to scope or quote for work: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, or steps you've asked us to take before a contract.
• To deliver work we agree with you: performance of that contract.
• To understand how the site is used: our legitimate interests, using aggregated, non-identifying statistics.

We don't add you to a mailing list, sell your data or share it with anyone for their marketing.

Who processes it for us

• Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the contact form.
• Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox. It's based in the US; transfers are covered by the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
• Google Workspace hosts our email, where enquiries are kept.

Analytics run on our own server in the UK.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we're talking or working with you, then for up to two years in case you get back in touch, after which we delete them. Information we must keep for tax or accounting is kept for as long as the law requires (usually six years).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for it to be moved. Email hello@5riverslab.io and we'll respond within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
